I am a wolf of both timber and gray,
The life I live is never by day.
My fur is soft like the grass where I lay,
It shimmers and sheens but there are no one that I pay.
My paws are large to keep me on ground,
I never slip when I'm climbing round.
My ears pick up the most sensitive sound,
Even when it comes from behind a mound.
I am a wolf of both timber and gray.
My jaws have the strength to crush your bones,
Even to crush occasional stones.
My teeth are sharp cylindrical cones,
I love to hear their horrific moans.
I am a wolf of both timber and gray,
My love of death is here to stay.
